Plan

Planned server setup

The exact server settings will be decided closer to launch, but the current plan is to start with two Valheim servers.

Main world

The first server is planned as the main persistent world. This should be the stable, long-running Valheim world for normal play.

Secondary world

The second server may be used for testing, events, alternative world settings or shorter experiments.

Deep North

Why wait for Deep North?

Valheim 1.0 brings the Deep North biome and marks the full release of the game.

For Wargamers.no, this is the right point to start fresh. A new major biome, new enemies, new crafting, new building options and full crossplay make more sense as a baseline than starting a world shortly before a major release.

The goal is simple: start from the full release, avoid unnecessary world resets, and build something worth keeping online.

Watching

What we are watching

Before launching the servers, we want to understand how Valheim 1.0 affects dedicated server hosting and long-running worlds.

  • final 1.0 dedicated server behaviour
  • world generation changes
  • crossplay requirements
  • server settings and difficulty options
  • modding options after launch
  • whether a clean new world is required or strongly recommended

Rules

Server rules

Valheim-specific rules will be added when the server setup is closer to launch. The general Wargamers rules will apply across the Valheim servers.

Status

Current status

No public Wargamers.no Valheim server is live yet.

More information will be added when the Valheim 1.0 release is closer and the server plan is ready.
